The Fat Smash Diet

If your dream is to be as fit and sexy as those Hollywood hotties, then Fat Smash Diet is for you. The Fat Smash Diet is the same diet guide which K. Smith, MD, and some other Hollywood stars have used for some weight lose ventures.

Many dieters have affirmed their trust and faith to the Fat Smash Diet because of it’s disciplines and principles. It is a program with a lifestyle approach and strong commitment at hand.

It focuses on eating healthful, filling foods, and having lots of exercise regularly. Its plans and menus are easy to follow, therefore dieters can be assured of efficiency and hassle-free moments while under program.

Generally speaking, The Fat Smash Diet is a great diet plan capable of extending some help and aid, no matter how many pounds you want to lose.

Recommendations, Limitations and Restrictions

The Fat Smash Diet is a 90-day program and divided into four phases, so expect there’s so much work and learnings for you.

Well, the phase 1 is referred to as the “detoxification” period and runs for nine days. In this phase, your body will be cleansed from impurities as well as from bad habits to eventually prepare your body for being a “temple.” Typically, calories will be reduced in this phase and increase in water intake will be required.

Generally, in phase 1, four to five meals are allowed with foods in raw, grilled or steamed. Fats should only be 3 tablespoons and olive oil at 1 to 2 teaspoons every day.

The foods allowed are chickpeas, lentils, tofu, beans, and unlimited fruits and vegetables excluding white potatoes and avocado. Brown rice, milk (low-fat, skim, or soy), oatmeal, low-fat yogurt, egg whites, and herbal tea are allowed but with limitation. Just an important reminder, skipping meals is not allowed in phase 1.

The phase 2 on the other hand is the “foundation” period and is good for three weeks. In this phase, there are foods that will be gradually added. Avocado, lean meats, granulated sugar, butter, seafood, whole egg, cheese, a variety of whole-grain cereals, fat-free mayo, coffee, fruit juice, diet soda, lemonade, and club soda will be allowed but in limited amount. Meals should only be four to five times daily just like in phase 1.

Consequently, the phase 3 is the “construction” period and runs for four weeks. Somehow, this phase shares common principles with the first two phases, however, there are many additional foods such as pasta, bread and dessert (one per day) in this phase and portions are a little larger but still remain in limitation.

Finally, the phase 4 is the establishing of the temple. Wine, beer, pizza, and potatoes together with exercise, portion control are added in this phase. Like in other phases, eating should be only four to five times daily and skipping meals is not allowed.

The Fat Smash Diet Works

The Eat Smash Diet works by changing your food intake and preference. It is good for 90 days focusing mainly on improving food choices and proving the importance of eating fewer calories, exercising regularly, and losing weight.

However, though it strongly suggests to have fewer calories, it does not require calorie counting, instead, just a maintained balance in your food choices and changed relationship with food in order you won’t overeat.

Insights of Some Experts

For Tara Gidus, spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association, the Fat Smash Diet is a one viable choice. For her, the Fat Smash Diet is “a simple, easy-to-read book loaded with tidbits and nuggets of useful information, recipes, and workout ideas”.

However, though Gidus sees the Fat Smash Diet as something viable, she actually doesn’t like the term “detox” in the first phase which sounds too strict. For her, “detox is a strong word, suggesting a serious addiction, and the word turns me off and may affect dieters the same way.”

Similarly, she does not like the lack of information about “forbidden” foods. According to Gidus, supposedly, there should be a list of restricted items like coffee, wine, sweets, etc. to make the plan easier to follow.

Why the Fat Smash Diet

At first, Fat Smash Diet’s detoxification phase may seem impossible and at the same time “gimmicky”. It may be a difficult phase but it’s actually the edge of the Fat Smash Diet. At the same time, it’s a phase that would eventually help you surpass the entire 90 days and would lead you to permanent healthy lifestyle.

So far, the Fat Smash Diet fits many types of people. In general, it is a perfect program for people who does little to no exercise and is a junk-food junkie by nature.
